I've posted a thread in Living Overseas about something I saw today in my 2.11 yr old DD's school (which is an actual school, not a nursery - they start aged 3 in France. This is her first week.) Briefly, a teaching assistant yelled at a girl of 3-4 years old because she was crying, then she marched over to her, grabbed her by the arm, yanked her off her feet and carried/dragged her a couple of metres before forcibly putting her back down on the floor. Her action fell somewhere between manhandling and violence, in my opinion. I was pretty shocked, particularly as nobody in authority came to check what the shouting was about. If you have the patience I'd be grateful if you could read my longer post and let me know what, if anything, you think I should do.
