I watched this and was thinking that floods really could effect a lot of people. Power goes out, fresh water can't be pumped. It's happened in my town and dispite no ones house flooding, we was without water for weeks. One dad on the documentary said he had to raid a wrecked shop for bottled water. I think I have 3 lots of 6*2l bottles now.

So for drinking we are OK. I would forget washing etc. But flushing the loo? I need to check the water butt is still working. Unless we DID flood of course

You'd probably have to go earth closet (or compost bin as wee makes fantastic compost.)

Or bucket with lid, carrier bags/bin bags and cat litter,

Or portable potty and potty bags.

I count fruit juices, soya milk, pop, elderflower champagne etc as drinkable resources.

You can get water purification tablets which are smaller to store.

You can wash hair and bath in a bowl of warm water, or even with a damp flannel or two. (Or kitchen roll if it is the decent sort.)
