I'd like to more about canning and hear what people's experiences of it have been? What equipment they use etc?

We grow some of our own fruit and veg and I'd love to be able to preserve sauces etc without taking up freezer space each time.

I'd love to can but the cost of jars is prohibitive. I don't drive so would have to get them delivered. The second problem I'd have is storage.

Check out the preserving and canning uk group on facebook. Everything I know about canning, I learned from them! I have a small electric pressure canner, that is discontinued, but the instant pot pro plus also has a canning function. I can to preserve things I grow and to have meals I can grab off the shelf. No need to rely on the freezer.

If you want to pressure can on a larger scale, lots of people import larger stove top ones from America. Others waterbath instead, which requires more stringent reheating.
