Non scaremongering sm accounts?

I’ve stumbled across prepping today. However I don’t want to get sucked in by conspiracy theorists etc, I just want to get started with practical and accessible, applicable practices and prep. I am in UK. I do best with video rather than text/articles. I’m wondering if there are any accounts on TikTok for example that you’d recommend?

What sort of are do you live in?
City,country, flat, flood plain, hill, coast, South, North?

You tube has some good videos if you search for specific things such as winter car preps...

You probably need to adapt anything to.your circumstances.

We live in Gloucestershire/cotswold border. About 45m to Gloucester, 60 min to Bristol, 50min to Swindon, 1.5hrs from oxford.
Have some smaller towns within 15m

we back onto woodland. Have some capacity for storing.

have a 13yearold and almost 10 year old. Off roading car. Ability to tow and we actually have a large roof tent on the car also which I was planning to sell but actually seems like it would make most sense to keep it. Great bit of kit we just haven’t had time to camp a whole bunch.

The first thing to decide is what you want to prep for. Then decide whether you plan to stay home or go elsewhere if something happens.

Hospital grab bag.
Probably bug in so plenty of stores .
Are you at risk of flooding?
Fire safety/evacuation plan.

Dont know about Tiktok but there is also a great group over on FB that is a 'womens preppers UK group' . I dont know if Im allowed to post links but if you search those words youll find it easily. They are all lovely on there, knowledgeable and the admin lady posts almost daily videos of her preps.
