I've looked on Amazon, but you can't trust the reviews. I can't afford anything expensive.

I've got this one but can only half recommend it as I only got it this winter so haven't tried the solar panels yet (though that's why I got it). It's great on mains, I think I paid around £36 for it though.

I wonder if it works with daylight or does it have to be in direct sun 🤔

From what I've read generally, there's a trickle from daylight but it'd be slow. I'm sure there was something about windows (the glass) cutting out a lot of power too, so outdoors would be significantly more effective.

Thanks for that, I'll bear that in mind 👍🏻😃

I have the 3 panel Decathlon camping one - this one
I have used it outdoors on Scout camp, and in the garden, and indoors on the south facing bedroom window. All work.

How I use it is to directly recharge my powerbank - and then use the powerbank to recharge my phone/ipad etc. As the solar panel says to be careful using on electronic devices - they don't all like fluctuating levels of charge which can happen as sun goes behind clouds etc. But the power bank copes with that better (and it is available at night when you have just finished a long call or something that drained the battery (as well as your brain - or is it just MY DM?!) and there is no sun left Grin ).

I should have said both behind glass and outdoors work, but outdoors was significantly more effective. Outdoors was also in summer on sunny days, whereas indoors has been all winter on any day there was some decent sun but for far less hours.

We just used our car charger when there was a power cut but it’s a good question as I wouldn’t mind one if there’s a good one .
