Where to start with basic preparing?

Tiny house with limited space. Limited budget too.

What are the most important / useful things you have in stock at home?

Tins? Solar lantern? Seeds to grow vegetables?

I want to be a bit more self sufficient ..... while living in a city & working fulltime.

I found a couple in aldi. Most of the savers range we bought from various stores has been unavailable. this hides price rises. their bog standard and branded stuff has gone up a bit, but the biggest gain is not being able to byuy the cheapest version and having to buy the more expensive ones or go without.

How strange that the OP never returned to acknowledge all this information !
