Do I need to start prepping for this summer/winter?

I don’t normally keep more than a week plus another week of emergency stuff in the house - could last longer but not in a balanced way. But do I need to consider summer shortages?

From what I've read, there's likely to be a pretty wide range of shortages over the summer at one point or another. I'm reasonably prepared with general stuff, so have just upped any specific items we'd particularly miss. It might be worth thinking about anything that your family particularly relies on - for limited diets etc - that you'd have trouble substituting. If your kid will only eat a dozen foods, for instance, or you rely on gf flour every day, (or even if your favourite coffee helps when you're having a rough day) it feels sensible to me to make sure you're well stocked to help cover any supply hiccups.

Always prep for the unknown.

Summer shortages are here.

You should prep generally though. Consider winter preps now. Car, pets, meds, food, water, warmth, light.

Think flu/Covid/diarrhoea/chicken pox
Power cuts
Flooding
Autumn/Winter storms
Snow
Fire

Anything that may be useful for a random event.
