So, prepared for Brexit, prepared for COVID isolation, however this morning we had snow.

1weekly delivery of shopping, no top ups, system works. But, said weekly shop due this morning. Fridge empty of of fresh fruit and veg. Everything else fine.

So, off into the village, fresh fruit and veg purchased. Nothing else, not needed because of stocks. Feeling in control. Fine.

6pm. Tesco rock up with the 9am delivery. So impressed that they did this

What was the point of this ? I suppose, happy that we have stocks of shelf stable stuff, but acutely conscious that snow in the hour before a delivery of fresh stuff meant a trip out to the shops. We hadn't visited one since Boxing Day

we have longer life veg on standby. so never get to the end of the fridge veg. depends on the size of your fridge and family though.

we also have partially cooked veg in teh freezer: the fresh veg portion of meals. (less space than adding the tinned tomatoes which can happily sit in a tin somewhere else)

trying to get back up plans for if the delivery does not come. (we had snow yeaterday and were isolating so could have been a bit of a problem, but morrisons got through anyway. milk would have been the issue but we had longer life milk in the fridge and a couple of pints in the freezer. we have bread alternatives, ( otehr carbs) I use powdered milk for cooking and coffee.

Yet I still feel shit and agitated when a delivery may be cancelled.
