Damaged tins

Bit fed up as I’m on a tight budget so have been adding the odd 1 or 2 tins to my order (have a vulnerable slot) but for lots of them the tins have been really dented. I know you’re not supposed to keep dented ones so am really frustrated at planning preps only to not be able to keep them. Thanks for reading

I think it depends on how dented the can is and if it is along the seam. Agree that my delivered cans do seem more dented at the moment, but still all fine inside. Not a scientific response I know, but I wouldn't automatically discount them.

Sorry why can't you keep dented cans?? They sell those for cheap in the discount section so surely they are safe??

I thought dented tins should always be discarded as there's a risk of botulism or something? Maybe it depends how big the dent is?

That’s what I thought. Some have little dings but others are properly caved in
