I've always grown a bit on my windowsill, strawberries, herbs, cucumbers and similar. Due to concerns around Corona/Brexit this year I have upped my game and am growing a lot more. I've tried to plant gradually so things should be ready at different times but I want to think about preserving some of it.

Can anyone recommend any books or websites that might help me get to grips with this ups upscalling? Or share any personal tips?
I'm particularly interested in options around canning, drying food etc and also just the best way to store things. Massive TIA.

Are you on Facebook? There’s are some absolutely brilliant Facebook groups. What I love is the fact that they really do believe that ‘there’s no such thing as a stupid question’ and they practically fall over each other to give you some fantastic advice. My favourite ones are

‘The..Grow You Own Group...’
and
‘The Allotment Shed’

I prefer them to books, because I’m naturally lazy and I also get overwhelmed by all the information in some of gardening books.

Oops. See what I mean. I thought you were more interested in the growing side. BlushGrin

Try ‘48% preppers for families’ Although it is pro remain regarding Brexit, anyone is welcome to join so long as they don’t start spouting off. That includes remainers spouting off. It has expanded to more of a general preppers group. Brilliantly skilled and informative members.

Thanks so much @T0tallyFuckedUpFamily I'm definitely interested in both, I maybe just have a tiny bit more knowledge about the growing as a starting point.

In that case you’re already well ahead of me 😁

Huw Richards and Liz Zorab/Byther Farm and Project Diaries on YouTube are great.
