What do you think will happen after?

Yesterday I heard a suggestion that this crisis would push us towards a society (fear of touching contaminated money/ bank manipulation) and while I’m not sure it would come to that (with a wave of mass unemployment) it got me thinking about what might happen after.

I’m asking this question here, because you lot think ahead clearly and calmly, and these kinds of questions can be alarmist and sensationalist in the Coronavirus board. I’m currently eating into our stash which makes me jittery, and I’m really missing the sense of control that prepping gives. I feel a need to future plan, and at least think ahead, even if I’m not able to do much at the moment.

Depends how long we take to get on top of this.

For many there will still be jobs.

It will be the lower paid whose employers go out of business that will suffer. Unemployment will be high.

My guess is that capitalism will prevail and slowly we'll get back to a free market economy, democracy, freeish press etc.
Let's hope it goes that way rather than another.
Better respect for people we are now calling "key workers", like carers, shop staff etc. Again, would be nice.
Not inevitable that it's all going to shit.
