I've got the opportunity to do a bulk order from Suma this weekend, through a community group I'm part of, but I'm a bit overwhelmed by options! I've already got a months' supply of pasta, noodles, tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, various tins of baked beans and the like. I have filled the freezer with frozen fruit and veg.

I need to get a stash of oat milk as we're a vegan family and also DC are intolerant so it's not optional, the brand we use is imported from Sweden.

DC are 7, 4 and 4 months, the baby is due to start weaning in 6 weeks.

I can't decide whether to get more staples, or treats and lunchbox stuff for the kids. My budget is £150.

Things you would really miss, things that are likely to be really expensive after Brexit?

squee123 · 21/03/2019 09:38

how about nuts? They can be made in to loads of vegan I
options like ut milks and butters, energy ball, sour cream, cheese etc.

I'm assuming they do TVP?

I'd certainly get some treats, for both you and the DC, eg decent chocolate if available. Nuts could well become very expensive. (Or even more expensive)

What did end up going for?
I’m part of a SUMA collective. My favourites are the SUMA branded tinned tomatoes/ beans/ lentils, the apple juice concentrate which comes in a glass bottle, dried fruit is good value, and I bulk buy oatly and also flavoured soya milk for the kids (provamel) from there too.
