Defrosting freezer

Noticed my freezer really needs defrosting. It's full to the brim with meat and vegetables. Should I wait or use everything up this month and defrost it at the end of February/ beginning of March and then have the whole of March to fill it up again in preparation for Brexit?

I intend to rely on frozen food being about half of my brexit supply/ stockpile. There should not be to many problems filling it up in March right? Or will there be shortages in March due to more panic buying?

do it now, everything out in the garden, insulate well with blankets/towels, it'll be fine out there, and then bowls of water and a wooden spatula to hack remove the ice.

A hairdryer is also helpful when trying to remove the ice

I did mine a few weeks ago. It didn't actually take very long and so I'd do it now and stocktake whilst you're at it. Then use up all the random stuff over the next few weeks and replace it with useful things like meat, veg fruit and dairy. Its also noice to have it all ordered and neat.
