Does anyone have a spreadsheet for keeping track of what they've purchased, expiry dates etc? Or an app?

I've written everything on a sheet of paper (what I've bought, not expiry dates) but think this method would be better.

Any recs? Thanks

Watching with interest as I was thinking the same thing earlier.

If you want to list just use an excel spreadsheet and then you can filter or sort by type of food/stocks or expiry date. If you have skills you could even create a fancy pivot table Wink

Following in case someone has a pre-made one. I have a sheet of paper with the item, quantities for non perishable (as no exp dates), servings for food items and expiry dates.

I'm actually really enjoying the organisation aspect so I think I may have gone overboard with the list.

Google sheets is free, very easy to use and your spreadsheets are stored on line and accessible from prrtty much any device with internet access.

Interestingly I’ve just spent the afternoon with a pad and pen doing a stocktake because my spreadsheet isn’t as reliable as a tally chart..

Alphabetical. One double page per letter

I had loads undocumented except in my head Blush and then got a notebook and some post its to show it was divided into different sections - pulses, ready meals, pasta etc, dairy or equivalent , that sort of thing and then write in each section what the thing is and how it is packaged and how many packages I have E.g, hot sauce (family fave here) 2 x bottles..

You do all know we wont have electricity after Brexit, right?

You'd be better off writing it down in a paper ledger.
