I have a dehydrator sitting in my cellar doing nothing and I think it’s about time I put it to good use, especially with the glut of courgettes and tomatoes I have coming through.

How are those who dehydrate food storing them?
Is it a case of simply dehydrating them and then popping them in a jar or bag? Do you need to remove air from the bags?
Should I be adding those little sachets?

I looked into this and quickly realised that I am too lazy for dehydrating. It looks like a bit of a faff and I don't have a vacuum-pack sealing system or the oxy sachet things. Hopefully someone more useful will be along soon with more relevant words Smile

I recently picked up a book called 'The complete idiots guide to dehydrating food' by Jeanette Hurt, it's quite informative so you may find it useful.

I have that book too. It's great and so aptly titled for me
