We just had a tsunami alert the other night as well! It's the end of days!

I saw the Alaska (?) problem. How did DH react IRL?

Slept through it, the great big preppy prepper that he thinks he is!

Alerts are newly on the phone. TBF the houses low enough to be affected were all knocked by first responders or were in communities with sirens etc.

So i am not in any way a prepper, but can i just tell you about the house we are building? (And wool be done soon! Hallelujah!)
Is Adobe and welded steel with propanel (metal) siding. It has 7kwh solar panels and we have a greenhouse! It's not an earthship, but we're only a 1/4 mile from the river.

I think he's fine because we are high enough to say we'd have been OK. There will certainly be some private, shame-faced organizing behind the scenes! I've already spotted a couple of things on our amazon account!

I'm in two minds about whether it will have been useful. On balance, I think it might - from your perspective. (A Full Margin Rupture of the CSZ would be nothing like that of course.)

Getting the alerts on everyone's phone I think will be useful.
