Food Prepping and Brexit

The thought of food insecurity that Brexit will bring is a great concern of mine. More so now that the value of the pound is low. Some people are predicting that the value of £ could go lower once Art 50 is triggered.

I have looked at a few preppers board but I can't find a list food/commodities to stock up or what vegetables/fruits to plant.

Please can we compile a list?

Stock:
Olive Oil
Beans
WIne

Plant:
Blueberries
Strawberries
Potatoes? (Most of the potatoes in the market are UK grown, I think, so I don't know if I need to plant these)

I've found 5 bars of castile soap in Morrisons for £1. Really useful for making washing goop when times are lean.

I was just pricing up our Morrisons online shop and noticed our preferred butter has jumped from 87p to £1.02 in under a week!

There's apparently a problem coming down the line at us shortly with milk products, including butter and cream. It's to do, if I recall, with the size of the British dairy herd - too many dairy farmers are giving up/ have given up because of desperate milk prices - although I'll stand to be corrected on that one of course.

Good stuff suggested so far - Castile soap is a good one.
Milk - powdered, evaporated, uht, nut/soya.
And if you have kids, treats to cheer them up:haribo, biscuits etc.

Uht only lasts about 6 months so maybe later in the year
Soya/nut milks have longer shelf life though
