FFP3 respirators

Hi! I'm new to prepping and have been thinking about what to do in a pandemic. Does anyone know are the FFP3 respirators sold on Amazon for diy purposes as effective as the medical grade ones? They are less expensive but I don't want to stock up if they wouldn't work!! Thanks!

I don't know, I'm afraid but I doubt it. There are just so many variables anyway - eg the nature of a pandemic and the disease vectors, the spread of disease before any measures were recommended, the 'fit' of PPE, other hygiene precautions and measures etc etc.

FFP3 is the grade advised by our infection control policies in a hospital environment for airborne infections. So I would think any FFP3 would be suitable.
