Formula to cow's milk

Hi, I am trying to find something out for a friend overseas. When changing a premature baby from formula to cow's milk at 12 months is it recommended that one should use their actual age or their adjusted age? And please, no lectures on the dos and don'ts of switching away from formula. Thanks.

Our dietician recommended actual age, for my 28-week twins, but she asked about the quantity of solids that they ate, how much milk they were having, and their general health.

Our DS was 7 weeks prem and we decided to "phase out" formula when he was 12months (actual) rather than one big change. He has formula for morning and night time bottle but he has cow's milk during the day and in cooking/with cereal etc. He will be 12months corrected this week so will probably swap the breakfast one. The only reason I really kept him on formula for that little bit longer was because of the extra iron in it.

Thanks, that does help. HV has now said actual age to me. This is for 32 week twins, with VERY healthy diet of solids and bouncing, bonnie general health. Living in Japan, ordering formula from NZ to avoid weight gaining soya generally used in Japan; everything hugely expensive!
Thanks for your input, much appreciated.x
