My friend's 18-y-o DD is in the above situation - 32 weeks and just out of hospital following a scare - regular contractions. She has been told not to expect to carry to term. She is leaking colostrum andis worried this may be a sing things are imminent - what do you wise ladies say? I can't remember.

Any other wise words for me to pass on to them would be greatly appreciated...

I leaked colostrum from 20 weeks when pg with DD - she was born at 36 weeks (induced due to complications but nothing due to the colostrum!)

Am pregnant again and just started leaking today at 18 weeks (but still bfing DD so that might affect things a bit).

So no, definitely not a sign of labour for me.

i leaked my first bit at about 24 weeks. Am now 39 +5
SHIT - any day now.!!

Hope your friend's daughter is OK. It's a scary time but 32/33 weeks seems to be fine these days.

Thanks so much girls. I know compared to some it's not a bad gestation, but she has other non-pregnancy-related complications (Hep C+, generally under-nourished as she's one of a large, poor family, a few other problems) and her mum is crazy with worry about her. And I am useless, can't remember any of these things from my own pregnancies...
