Premie baby not smiling

Hello Mommies,
My lo was born 33 weeks premature and is now 3.5 months old (8 weeks corrected age). She makes eye contact and pays attention to the interactions but hasn’t started giving social smile yet.
This is making me anxious. Please suggest

Give it another 3.5 months and if still nothing, then perhaps start to worry. Until then, enjoy your baby and those beautiful early day of cuteness

Patience. I wouldn’t panic yet: she’s only 8 weeks old and has had to do a lot of growing. Mine were 34+6 and had bumpy developmental milestones until they were about three (nothing HCP were worried about but I noticed). Hang in there and keep smiling at her. The first smile back is often very small and unsure and hard to recognise as a smile. Hand hold - you’ve both been through a lot.

Hi that's perfectly normal, babies will normally smile between 6 and 12 weeks corrected age. I definitely wouldn't be worrying at all right now x
