Newborn swimwear

Hi.
I'm struggling to find a swim suit for my son who is in newborn size. He's actually over 4 months and he's had all his injections. But he was very prem (25 weeker) he's had tummy issues and it's made him cranky. it was suggested by a dr that swimming may help, although it's a build the time up kind of thing. We want to take him for a quick dip in the kiddy pool (we checked the temp and it's warm enough) but can not fined NB size swimwear anywhere and the 0-3 is too big. Any suggestions? please and thank you

Not hugely helpful I know, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there just wasn’t any. I doubt newborn swimming is a huge market, they won’t wear it for long. I imagine most parents, even if they take their baby swimming from very young, do it once the baby is fitting into 0-3 months. I think shops just wouldn’t sell enough to make it worth having.

Have you tried Swimbubs? The 0-3 is very small, my DS was absolutely tiny (9th centile) when we started taking him swimming at 8 weeks and the 0-3 fit him very nicely. I would have sent it to you had I not sold it on Vinted less than a week ago 🙈

We found the happy nappy wrap style ones could go pretty small

Maybe try a few different shops 0-3 as many of them size differently. Meanwhile can you try a full bath with you in it with him? My daughter was a 29 weeker and every single time we took her swimming, without fail she was unwell after. That didn’t stop until she was 2 years old, so personally I just wouldn’t yet.
