Wondered if anyone could give me some positivity, just got admitted to ward because of absent edf at 31+4. Have had 1 steroid injection and just been told they will monitor me and try to get me to next week. I’m so scared as baby has known Avsd which is commonly associated with babies diagnosed with t21 (we only found this out at 29 weeks so declined an amino to avoid risks of preterm labour- ironic I know)

Sorry this is waffley I’m just in need of a handhold as not at local hospital and thought I would be out by lunchtime to celebrate as today is my 30th birthday feeling so overwhelmed and not sure how I will sleep

I wanted to offer you a handhold OP, and to say I was thinking of you and your baby. How hugely stressful for you and on your 30th as well! Do you know what the next steps are and how long they are planning to keep you in? I really hope all will be well with you and baby Thanks

They are going to monitor twice a day and scan again on Monday, I think the plan is to take every day as it comes as they think she has a knot in her cord but to be honest today has happened so fast and I feel abit helpless. At one point it was suggested they would like to get me to 34 weeks the next they were eager to get me 2 lots of steroids incase she comes this weekend. Unfortunately by time we got admitted my husband had to leave as visiting was over and I just feel as though I am in shock!

Just wanted to say I am thinking of you and your baby. There is a Facebook group called 'Heart Heroes' for parents of children with heart conditions. There is likely parents on there who have been through similar and could offer support 💜 There are also local groups depending where you are in the country

Hi baby Peggy arrived on Friday at 32+4 and is so far doing alright :) we have a long road of nicu and surgeries ahead of us but she is so far getting on far better than expected and has managed to maintain breathing independently

Oh how lovely, congrats! I hope all is still going well. Always here for a chat if you need to offload, it's tough but hopefully you will be home as a family before you know it. DS was in for 8 weeks in 2020 and it still feels like yesterday x
