Please, what percentile is my baby on?

I really hope this is the correct thread.

At my scan and consultant appointment this
week I was told that my little boys growth has slowed down. They're going to scan me again on 29th (2 weeks time) to see if things have picked up and he's caught up. If not, they said they'll perform my ELCS early... possibly 35 weeks. (I'm 33+3 days now)

So, I'm hoping someone can interpret how low on the percentile he is from my chart. They seemed in such a rush I wasn't really told how much his growth has slowed... how worried are they.. what percentile should he be on?! Basically, should I be worried?

So sorry for all the questions, I just have no idea how to ready this chart x

Please, what percentile is my baby on?

It looks like about a third of the way between the 10th and 50th. Have you asked your midwife to explain their thinking around possibly moving the c-section?

DS1 was delivered by c-sec at 33+5 because of IUGR. The decision was made very quickly after a scan showed he hadn't grown at all in two weeks (my placenta failed due to pre-eclampsia). He was on the 2nd at birth and spent some weeks in SCBU. He's now nearly 6'4" so he's definitely caught up!

He’s gone from a bit below the 50th centile to a bit above the 10th centile.
It sounds like they’re not so much worried about specifically what centile he’s on, rather that his growth seems to have slowed.

Thankyou for the reply! Yes they said that the csection would be brought forward because if he's not getting the nutrients he needs inside me, they can intervene and give it outside. Blood pressure is a nightmare isn't it! I have low blood pressure apparently which also isn't ideal.

Thankyou for the reassurance, I really appreciate it x

You're right, I hadn't even though about it in that way to be honest. Just pure panic after being kept in the dark with things. Thankyou!!

Centiles are only useful for tracking babies growth, basically they should follow their centile. It does look like your babies growth has slowed a bit but there is still a good chance of a growth spurt in the next 2 weeks.
However if baby isn't growing then it's better that they are born.
I've had 2 iugr babies, my first was born at 33+2 weeks weighing 1330g (pre eclampsia) and my second was 2350g at 36+5 weeks (he was born early due to slow growth)
