36 week prem baby going over 24 hours without pooing

My prem baby was born at 36 weeks and is currently a week old, she has been fine passing stools but the last few days she is going over a day before pooing (she only did it this morning as I left her nappy) she is drinking between 40-50ml formula every 3 hours so I know she is feeding enough, can anyone offer any advice?

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about that. Mine could go for a week at a time as newborns between poops.

Thankyou, it does make you worry though and there's no particular guidelines for how often a preemie should be going.

Mine were born at 36 weeks too and I was told not to worry until they got uncomfortable ( days 7+) I was then given suppositories to give them which provided instant results Grin

If you think they are uncomfortable then gently 'cycling' their legs can be very productive
