Previous pre term birth, 30 weeks with 2nd baby

Hi all,

I had a previous pre term birth at 32 weeks in 2016 no known reason. I'm now 30 weeks with my 2nd baby. I've had 2 cervical length scans which were good.
Today I had a reassurance scan, all was fine, baby growing well but the head was really low, it couldn't be measured. I can feel it's low, I keep needing a wee and get pelvic pain. They said there's no evidence baby will be born early but I'm really anxious now the head is low. I really want to keep this baby in as long as possible. Anyone else been in a similar situation? X

My 1st was born 34+5, i had PROM few days before and had to be induced. Found at a 6 week scan i had a bicornuate uterus, but had a mild water infection at the time too but no definite cause. 2nd cooked a whole 3 days longer, born at 35+1, had bloody show, waters trickled and went into full blown established labour with no trigger

DC1 was 34 weeks, PPROM and labour straight away. No known medical reason. She was born following a very hectic and stressful week.

DC2 I deliberately took it easy - time off work, less stress, put my feet up more. She was born at 36+6. (PPROM again). I don‘t know if the taking it easy helped but it’s all I can suggest.

My First baby arrived at 32 weeks due to placenta abrupting following going into preterm labour a few days before which they managed to stop. My second baby was delivered by planned c section at 39 weeks with no indication he would have come earlier. I was heavily monitored but every medical professional told me that every pregnancy is different and a premature baby in one pregnancy doesn’t mean that any further pregnancies will be the same. Hope all goes well for you, rest up and try to relax.

Thank you for your responses. I'm 32 weeks exactly tomorrow and no signs of labour tomorrow yet! I'm on annual leave from work so with the lockdown I'm home with my 3 year old. Trying to relax and take it easy as much as possible! X

My first was born at 32 and my second at 31. You’ve done really well keep resting!

My first came at 35 and I'm worried that a second may do the same.

I take sertraline and have read that this may have been a factor. Never mind the HG and full time work...

OP how were you in the end? Hope all well! @KateF1107
