I had my dd at 27 weeks, she weighed just under 2 lb 3. They took her off ventilation the day after the birth and have stopped her feeds due to suspected stomach infection. She is on antibiotics at the moment. Just wanted to know if anyone else has had their baby this early and how long were the in the neonatal ward for?

I had a 28 weeker and she's now a happy and healthy 1.5 year old, meeting all milestones and completely healthy. We were in till 38 weeks gestation, so 10 weeks in hospital. It's the hardest journey, but you will come out the other side and take your baby home. Express every 3 hours if you can - I used to do it next to her incubator - it is a faff but it also gives structure and purpose to your days.

It’s a good day she’s put on 3 ounces if I’m remembering rightly! They suspected she had an infection due to her fast breathing but she’s fine. I actually can’t believe how well she’s doing!

So pleased @Neverbroken, it will be an emotional rollercoaster the next few weeks. Stay strong and treasure all the positives, e.g getting out of an incubator, taking a bottle. Take care of yourself too.
