Potential labour signs at 26 weeks, confused!

Hi, my sister is telling me I should go into hospital as I am having the following at 26 weeks:

  • stabbing pains in pubic area (for three days now)
  • diarrhoea on and off since early hours
  • lower back pain (but tbh I've had this for weeks)
  • increased movements lower down than usual

I've called the hospital and they think it's all separate issues and said if I get period like cramps or any blood to go in but otherwise to just take it easy, but Dsis is saying I should insist to go in for monitoring.

I feel fairly comfortable in bed at home and not in unbearable pain, what do you think? I am really starting to panic now but I'm pretty sure if I was in labour I'd know about it??

I hope you’re having a good rest and aren’t too uncomfortable. You’ve rung the hospital and been given advice, if you feel fairly comfortable, then I’d say just listen to your body and don’t let other people wind you up! Best of luck. Please remember that you can always ring the hospital again if you’re worried or things change. I found peppermint tea, heat patches and baths helped with digestive pain and backache when I was pregnant.
