Wrong age of baby?

Gave birth to my gorgeous premmy on the 17/07/2017 at 23:17 31+2. She weighed a wopping 4lbs6oz. She is doing so well and a midwife told me she thinks she was actually more like 33 weeks when i gave birth?! Am i overreacting to this is quite shocking how all my scans were wrong? It was possible as i was active with my partner then but the date i originally conceived seemed logical as i had implantation bleeding that i thought was a period. Me and my partner are very tall and both weighed over 8lbs at birth. Opinions please and how far out could they get it wrong!?

Sorry I don't see why it matters. It's one persons opinion based on weight alone it seems from what you've written??
I had a 2lb 13oz 28 weeker and surely all that matters is that they are getting the care they need??
My DDs weight was good for her gestation so maybe my dates were out too or maybe I was just destined to have a bigger baby.
Scans/measurements are never spot on and you usually have a much better idea of when conception occurred anyway.
Personally I wouldn't give her comment a second thought

My ds was 6lb5oz at 35+0. A couple of people commented that my dates must be out, but as I'd had serial early scans due to recurrent mc, there was no question.
DH and I are both tall, and I was 10lb6oz, my brother 10lb 11oz, so a big baby was no suprise

They readjusted my due date after our 20 week scan, only by a week later, but she was born one day after her original due date and we know when we conceived as I became very ill with HG shortly after. They can get it wrong I'm sure, and I'm convinced they did in my case, but as long as you have a healthy baby it's immaterial really.

Is the midwife basing it purely on baby's weight? If so, I would ignore it. Even if not, how is she making that call? Trust the scans you had and not a throwaway comment from one midwife.

@KMoKMo Maybe because i personally think it would be quite cute to know where little one was conceived? Theres a place that means a lot to my partner and original date of conception was there. Ovbiously all that matters is she is healthy I don't know why you'd even question that so please take your rude comments elsewhere i was simply asking a question!!!!

Some babies are just big. I had to have a scan at 32 weeks with dd3 and they estimated her to be 6lbs already. They questioned my due date but I knew exactly when she was conceived as dd2 was still a small baby at the time so we were barely having sex at all. She was born at 41+1 weighing nearly 10lbs, she was big but showed no obvious signs of being very overdue.

@emesis just the fact that she is more alert and developed than others shes seen! Grin which is great!!

It is great that she's doing so well. Must be a relief!
