I am due to be induced/have a section at some point over the next week and a bit (so from 33 to 34 weeks) because baby is measuring small and not growing well and low fluid. At last scan when I was 32+4 baby only measured 30 weeks. When they deliver, say at 34 weeks, if baby is still measuring approx 2 1/2 weeks behind does it count as baby being 34 weeks or 31 1/2 weeks?
Does that make sense?

I'm not sure anyone really knows why epidural makes CS more likely but stats show it does (though I'm not sure how much it increases the likelihood eg I'm not sure if epidural makes CS twice as likely or only 10% more likely). It might be due to the fact it can slow things down and/or the fact you can't feel when to push but I'm kind of guessing tbh.

As murphy says there were plenty of mums on SBCU with sections and it didn't seem to prevent or delay them visiting particularly... As I say my poor DD did get properly mangled by a VB - she was so odd looking when she came out that they tested her for chromosomal disorders, so well beyond the "normal" squashed newborn effect - so I can see the benefits of a CS.
