slings for early babies

I'd like to get a stretchy wrap to carry my baby around with me in and keep the cuddle thing going as much as possible now we're home :) She's now 36 weeks gestation, 4lb 5 and growing and I like the look of kangawrap - does anyone have any experience of this kind of thing for similar size babies? She likes kangaroo cuddles and has spent a lot of time in my stretchy tops, so I imagine she would like it. Can't get out to a sling meet / library so need to take a chance. Thanks for your help

My DD (32 weeker) absolutely loved the caboo close parent carrier when she came home from hospital. For the first couple of weeks post discharge I hardly put her down, she was either in the sling or inside my tops. It's been a long road but at 5 months old she's 9Ibs and has graduated to a baby Bjorn active carrier which I also highly recommend for the future. Keep doing kangaroo cuddles as often as you can - it's so good for both of you. Good luck xx

I had a Close Baby Carrier for DS (31 weeker, home at 36 weeks gestation) - I used it around the NICU with him too, although the staff didn't like it much because he was out of his cot and "you might fall over carrying him"...

After that, I used an Ellaroo mei tai for front and then back carries.

My premie (31 weeks) girl is 12 years old now! I used a Baby Bjorn carrier a friend leant me, which was excellent as it supported her head. At first, as the weather was cold, I added a folded up soft blanket behind to make sure she was snug.
