BPAS long wait in my area - looking for a private clinic (England)

BPAS have a really long wait in my area for surgical abortions - 4-5 weeks!! (including the wait for my ‘consent call’ which is happening next week).

I’m already 10 weeks and quite anxious about waiting that long - it feels like a big difference mentally and physically.

Even the nearest BPAS 2 hours away is still 3 week wait apparently, when I’m allowed to book after my call. BPAS looks to be the only provider in my county (east Anglia).

Can anyone signpost me to a private clinic in London / central / east midlands / east Anglia?

I really want sedation or GA - most clinics I’ve found are either not running currently, only offer local anaesthetic or are extortionate (10k plus!).

I’m already pretty heartbroken and this all feels a bit crazy

I’m not sure on this but if you tell other termination providers like MSI your local provider can’t see you as soon as you want they may be able to offer you something sooner ? Does your local hospital not do GA? Also you do not have to stay local for BPAS you can call them and ask where is the clinic with GA which has the next availability but you may need to travel. I did this after my scan and they got me booked in in London in a week but it is very far from my home. Alternative options is medical pills by post but I’ve always wanted to avoid that but they could be with you in a matter of days. I would explore all options and ring round to see if someone can see you sooner. I have had surgical with GA before and it was fine actually so I can see why you may prefer that option. Happy to answer any further queries as I am awaiting a termination myself but still not sure when it is going to happen due to waitlists and being very ver early on in my pregnancy.
