Period 3 weeks and two days after early medical abortion

Hello, I had an early medical abortion just over three weeks ago. I got a negative hCG test at exactly three weeks. Yesterday I started bleeding and it is exactly like a normal period (my periods are generally quite heavy). No pain other than usual period type twinges, which is normal for me.

Is this likely to be my period or more likely a retained tissue problem? I do think my hormones are all over the place and I feel very low.

It is likely to be your period, mine arrived less than 4 weeks after my medical abortion.
