Hi

I’m just looking for some advice really. I have a son who has just turned one and have found myself pregnant which wasn’t planned (condom come off and morning after pill failed). We did plan on having another but just not this soon.

I’m going ahead but just wanted to know what you tell others when you tell them you’re pregnant. Do you just say it wasn’t planned but just about got my head around it etc.?

Sorry just feeling anxious.

Thank you xx

given about half of pregnancies are unplanned it makes you realise that a lot of families arent necessarily as perfectly planned as one think they are! most people won't ask. if they do can just say what you said here- you always planned another one but this one came quicker than thought! its also worth telling yourself that its ok to be worried etc/ wishing the gap had been bigger but thats it not personal to the baby- you will love them to pieces! wishing you all the best x

Just to add - my son was 13 months when we fell pregnant with my daughter (planned) and the age gap is just amazing. Hard work, I’d never deny that but so so worth it for how close they are. That gap just closes even more as they get older and it’s incredible to see. You’ve got this and you’ll be more than fine
