I have two beautiful daughters, at two different ends of the scale! One is almost 15 and the other 10months, to two different fathers, both ran off when i revealed I was pregnant. BOTH!! ...Baring in mind, we werent officially together, youd still think any decent human would face their responsibilities and support the woman they impregnate? Most importantly their child!
My eldests was a lying cheat that had a partner I knew nothing about, eventually he met someone else who gave him the ultimatum...her or my child. He chose her.
As for my baby, her father has wanted nothing to do with us as soon as he found out I was expecting. He has moved up north, to pursue his career in...bartending! His mum lives down the road but fully supports him, to not be involved.
You do obviously question why a man, or his family wouldnt want anything to do with their biological child/family. Even if it meant to co-parent amicably. Has anyone ever had the father of their child/children make contact, after being left to endure lone parenthood? As this is something that scares me down the line, especially with my baby now.
Also how have some of you, mother or fathers, coped when being abandoned by the other parent? Its really hitting me...especially after a second time happening!
I get on with things, but there is not a day that goes by where I dont feel like a terrible mother, and wonder. But if I had to be realistic my guess is these men will never care.
