Marie stopes/MSI - will they let me take the pills home

I have my Marie stopes appt tomorrow (Thursday morning) but haven’t been able to arrange childcare until Saturday morning. They will be at my mums all weekend.

i am covered childcare-wise for my appt but i am concerned about the actual treatment timeline.

if I take the first pill tomorrow at my appt, then I’ll need to take the second whilst I have charge of my children. This means I’ll be having the bleed and pains and trying to look after my children.

if they let me take them at home, I can start the protocol at the idea time and make sure the worst is over before my children come home

i have unfortunately had the same medication to treat miscarriages and I know from experience that I have been really poorly. I don’t want my kids in the house whilst I go through it

MSI just say it’s up to the nurse on shift whether they want me to take the first pill there and then and I can’t request in advance. The website says you can take the pills home with you if certain conditions are met. But no one call tell me anything specific

can someone advise or does anyone have any information?

How did you get on at your appointment? If you had to take the first one there I took my second lot 48 hours after instead of 24 hours when I had childcare so Saturday morning would be fine to take it :) xx

They didn’t ask me to take the first one at the clinic and sent me home with them all at once. I’m not sure if it’s the same at all of their clinics but I can’t see why they wouldn’t allow you to do so x
