Will they still di surgical abortion if I’m unwell?

I have a surgical abortion booked for next week under general anaesthetic and I’ve got a persistant cough and heavy cold…can it delay the procedure? Or as it’s a quick thing will they do it anyway?

The anaesthetist is unlikely to want to put you under a general anaesthetic while you are unwell so I would try to prepare yourself for it being delayed if you've not recovered by then

@pbdr thank you for your comment. I really can’t deal with having it delayed so I’m going to have to try and shift this asap!
