I’ve been with my partner for almost two years, recently got engaged. We have 4 children between us - he has two children, 6 & 3. I have a child from a previous relationship aged 3 and we have an 8 month old together.
I completely forgot to take my contraceptive pill (missed 6 days) and have been caught pregnant.
He is absolutely adamant he doesn’t want anymore kids, he wouldn’t cope and he says it will destroy us. His most recent reasoning was “he doesn’t want to share me for any longer than he has to” - which I think is ridiculous.
I respect he doesn’t want anymore children, but I am 7 weeks pregnant and am wanting to keep it. He keeps saying I need to get an abortion sooner rather than later. Truth is, either way, one of us will resent eachother. The only reason I would be getting an abortion is for his benefit and that just doesn’t feel right. Is there anyone who has been in a similar position?
