Late abortion

Hello I'm just asking if anyone who's had a late abortion at 14weeks &4 days it's been a tough decision and I've thought long and hard about it, I'm having one on Saturday and I'm terrified of having it done I've never had any surgical procedure done before and obviously it's under general anaesthetic any help will be greatly appreciated

@lemondrop1x so sorry you’re still in pain, I’ve got the exact same problem. It started on Saturday. I did go to work today, it wasn’t too bad, had one crying spell in the toilets, luckily no one came in. I’ve no idea why I’ve suddenly got this pain though, it hurts to sit down, get up or walk, and it’s painful to wee, and don’t feel like I’m emptying my bladder properly. Think I’ll have to ring the aftercare if it’s no better tomorrow. Has your pain eased off since this morning? X

Your antibiotics they give you? & aww I hope it gets easier for you x

@lemondrop1x i took the 4 antibiotics they told me to have the night before the procedure, I wasn’t given anything for afterwards. Hope you’re feeling ok x

Of antibiotics had to take two the night the procedure was done and then got another box to take for a
Week! And I'm just not
Going to over do it
To
See if the pain stops I've rang the clinic they said the pain can last for two weeks but if it's not easing then go to a&e x

@lemondrop1x Thank you for remembering because I have been feeling so alone. I’m scared of the unexpected. I think it’s because I don’t know what the pain will feel like and also all the blood will be scary too. Bag is packed and taxi is booked for morning. I hope this time tomorrow this will all be over x

@JamToasties your not alone the nurses/midwives and doctors are lovely they will take great care of you, have you got anyone going with you tomorrow ? X

@lemondrop1x I’m going alone as partner will be looking after the kids and nobody else knows. I would rather be alone tbh, I need to grieve and just be at one with my feelings and let them all sink in x
