My MA experience (positive), 7 weeks from my last period. A very long post.

Hi! I’m 23F, I’m from the UK and found out I was pregnant at the weekend after missing my period. It came as a complete shock and very much not planned. I opted for a MA asap (I was on the phone to clinics within 10 mins of the 3rd positive).

I managed to get last min appt earlier this week.

This is my MA experience: the first pill I took Thursday 22nd, and the second lot Friday 23rd dec. I apologise if some parts aren’t very detailed, it all went so quickly.

Day one:

14:35 - first pill

16:35 - cramps began no nausea

Day 2:

0830 woke up - had cramps over night no bleeding fine this morning

Some mild cramping - cramps increased throughout the day and got abit worse before the second tablets

14:38 pills inserted vaginally

14:51 cramps continuing - 4/10. Got a hot water bottle, began feeling uncomfortable and needing the toliet but wanted to make sure I was sat/laid down for 30 mins.

15:17 bleeding began, into the toilet

15:46 passed some blood clots

Around 17:09 I think I passed the pregnancy? Cramping and bleeding has calmed down but still there

19:10 starting to subside with pain. Very hungry now

20:16 cramps now 0.5-1/10. Still bleeding heavily & passing clots but not as bad as prior.

I took some more pain relief at roughly midnight before going to sleep, got up and changed at half 2 then half 6 in the morning but the blood has definitely slowed down now and just feels like my usual heavy period. Still having clots but not as big.

The next day (today)

Woke up feeling amazing, no nausea for the first morning in what feels like a lifetime. I was starving too after not being able to eat anything in the mornings and not even having an appetite!

My cramps have gone, I just have the odd cramping now but nothing more than my usual period cramping. Same for my blood, still heavy but I have heavy periods so that’s more my normal. Still passing small blood clots.

I’m up and about today, currently cleaning the house for Christmas. So grateful to finally feel like myself again.

If you’re worried about your MA please don’t be. I read some horror stories online and really upset myself. I had no vomiting or nausea (I’m emet too but had no anti sickness, only sea bands) and no diarrhoea.

I kept topped up on paracetamol and ibuprofen and just sat on the toilet for literal hours. Once I passed what I believe is the pregnancy my cramps and bleeding really subsided.

You’ll be okay❤️

Thank you so much for this thread, I've read so many horror stories including my sisters so they're all ringing in my ears. I've taken the 1st tab and I feel fine, but I'm petrified for tomorrow. Thank you for your post, I hope my experience will be the same.
