I wanted to post as I’ve been beyond terrified.
I’m nearly 6 weeks pg.
I have literally been waking in the night for the past few days and bursting into tears at the thought of taking the tablets.
I would say I have a good pain threshold, 2 babies with gas and air but I suffer with endometriosis and my periods are beyond painful. I vomit and shake and I basically have to be housebound for first 2 days, codeine only takes the edge of it as I’ve used it so much.
Reading positive posts has been the only thing to help me whilst I’ve gone through this.
Took first tablet by mouth and felt fine. Didn’t alleviate sickness but didn’t feel worse. Felt a bit of period pain next morning but like 2/10 on pain scale. No bleeding.
Then took 4 tablets internally 24h later. Within 20 mins I have quite bad period pain, about 7/10, took 3 ibrufen but no codeine as wanted to save it in case it ramped up. Pain settled after an hour. No sign of bleeding yet.
2.5h after the 4 tablets, bleeding started but pain subsided.
Put final 2 tablets in cheek after 4h as instructed. Took 2 co codamol and pain started after 30 mins, again 7/10.
Pain subsided after about 40 mins, I bled more, a few clots passed but I honestly get more on my period. This is like a normal heavy period now.
Ive watched films and ordered some food now.
Of course we are all different but this is coming from someone who finds periods excruciating, that’s what I was especially worried about - because I suffer so bad does that mean this will be extra painful. It wasn’t. : )
