Very early medical abortion (less than 4 weeks)

My period isn't late yet but I've tested positive (I knew right away, am just under 4 weeks.

Was given first tablet in clinic today and will do the vaginal ones tomorrow.

I read that it may be less intense so early... anyone with experience?

So stressed out.

It will most likely be very straight forward
Some cramping , some bleeding , small clots

I'm over 2 hours in from the tablets and only very very mild cramping, no spotting...

It's been 10 hours. All day mild cramps and this afternoon light pink discharge.

Just passed a one once grey / brown piece of tissue in the loo, no blood though...

No spotting. Nothing. Tired and bit nauseous.

Clinic says to wait another 24 hours, but all the cramping is also gone.

So either it was super super light as I am so early or it didn't work!

@itsonlyme44 hi, sorry I know this post was a month ago but wondered how you got on? My bleeding has been so light, and worried it hasn’t worked.

I’ve had the same - what have both of your experiences been ? Currently around 30 hours after taking the misoprostol and have had small amounts of light blood/ brown when I wipe. Now don’t even have craps. Please please help I’m so worried

Hey, I ended up going to the clinic for a scan because it was so light and non existent. Everything was fine though, started bleeding about a week later but had a steady flow and then lost a bigger clot and everything slowed down again, but it all worked. I was expecting it to be horrific but it was like a light ish period in the end. Hope you are ok.

Very similar to you. Don’t go for a scan too early, I took the tablets on Friday, and then had a scan the following Wednesday and they said it was far too early. They said to me as long as you’ve had some bleeding then it should be fine. Easier said than done by try to relax. X

Hi. Can anyone help me;

I took a pregnancy test a week ago. And it was a faint positive line, and I got a “pregnant” result on a clear blue.
due to circumstances, an abortion was the right thing for me at this moment. I was dated at 4 weeks 3 days.
I took the 1st tablet on Thursday at 5.30 and then the next 4 vaginal tablets last night at 5.30 then 2 more at 8.30pm.
iv had very minimal cramping, and some brown discharge but not at lot at all, and When I went toilet earlier I had a bit of dark blood/brown tinged mucus.

im reallt worried the pill has failed, iv had no fresh bleeding at all, and it’s been nearly 24 hours since the 2nd set of tablets.

has anyone been in this situation and then still bled? Or do I need to call the clinic tomorrow?

i just want to get it over and done with :( I’m panicking it’s not worked :(

Please call the aftercare number you were given , don't be surprised if the bleeding starts overnight , it can be delayed but if none by AM , call aftercare

Hello mums had a medical abortion on 5 days ago I was less than 4 weeks along. Day one I passed some clots very big ones. I didn't bleed on the 2nd day . I have had heavy bleeding from day 3 upto now. I'm getting worried. Seems like forever already thought it would be very light coz I was barely 3 weeks on. Is that normal?
