I very sadly made the decision to have a medical abortion 3 weeks ago. I'd have been no more than about 7 weeks pregnant at the time. I took the medication 3 weeks ago, had lots of clots/bleeding on the day and am pretty sure that I passed the pregnancy (was very aware of a round egg-like thing coming out).
I've been bleeding consistently but manageably until this weekend (2 weeks after the abortion) when about half a dozen large blood clots began to appear throughout the afternoon. There was no pain.
I've then been fine (just 'normal' bleeding) until tonight, when the blood suddenly started gushing a bit and I've had a couple more large clots. I did the pregnancy test last Friday and it was clear. So I'm quite confused - does this sound normal to anyone? There's no weird smell, no pain, etc - just steady bleeding with these crazy clots and gushes of blood thrown in.
To add further fuel to the non-stop bleeding, I've been taking the pill for the three weeks since the abortion, so am about to technically enter my 'period week' too. Hurrah!
Any advice/insight appreciated.
