Medical termination at 8-9 weeks - honest experiences please

So it looks like after having exhausted some other options I’m going to need to wait for my telephone appt with BPAS at which point I’ll be 8 weeks, nearly 9 weeks pregnant :(

Assuming I get the pills via post I’ll be more on the 9 week mark (as I’ll need to take them over the weekend when my partner is around for childcare).

Please please can I have your honest experiences of how it went for you, what was the pain like? Did you see much?
Was it successful/did you need further treatment?

I had a termination when I was 17 at 8 weeks and I remember it being a horrible experience so just trying to get an idea of what to expect again

The pain is manageable with OTC pain relief and hot water bottles. It hurts but not unbearably so.

I didn’t see anything as I let everything pass into the toilet and I didn’t look.

I had bleeding, getting gradually lighter for about 3 weeks in total. No further treatment needed.

Do you mind me asking how many weeks you were? It’s likely I’m going to be 9 weeks and a few days so worrying about it not working more than anything else.

Anyone else please? I’m desperate to hear your experiences the anxiety about this is really getting to me

I was 8 weeks 5 days according to my last period.

I think they’re happy to do a medical one up until 10 weeks.

Thank you. I think I’ll be about 9 weeks 2 days by the time I do mine. Really hoping it’s not as awful as my first experience

@Luckyme30 Hi! I have come across your post as I’m searching myself for other women like me. I’m waiting for a phone consultation. Have you gone with BPAS? They wanted me to wait 4 weeks for a phone consultation, but I kept searching for different places. I have gone with MSI.
Originally they didn’t fund my area but they said if BPAS couldn’t give me a phone consultation in 10 days, then I could phone them back and apply to have the funding moved. This was successful and I have a consultation booked for in 8 days.
I don’t know how long it’ll be before I get the pills though if I am able to do pills by post. I have never had a termination or a miscarriage before.
I have two children, 2 and 6 months. I am really scared of this experience and I feel that my partner doesn’t understand what this will be like for me, physically and emotionally.

What was your first experience like if you don’t mind answering that, also was you far along? I’m trying to prepare myself for what is going to happen

Hi please can someone share their experiences.
I have been reading online that the termination process through bpas can be incredibly long wait. I found out I was pregnant on Saturday, conceived on the 20 March which makes me around 2 weeks I know they like to add an extra two weeks on. Anyway I contacted bpas as this is not something i want to go ahead with I have two young children youngest is 1. And I managed to fall pregnant using them Stupid contraception apps “Flo” apparently was on a non fertile day first time I have had unprotected sex since having my son who is 1 and guess what… pregnant so clearly they do not work and I won’t be making that mistake again. I contacted Bpas today worried that I would have to wait weeks. Luckily I got a telephone consultation this afternoon on the same day which I am so thrilled about I thought there wait time was so long. They are sending me the pills in the post which take 1-3 days days. I am worried what to expect and she said the pills can make you sick dioreah dizzy and faint. I’m hoping it isn’t too bad with being so early. Any advice would be much appreciated x
