Hi everyone, I went to the clinic today and took the first pill mifepristone this afternoon with antibiotics and an anti sickness pill. I am struggling to keep it down as feeling very sick but only have another half hour to worry before its definitely absorbed and it doesn't matter if I vomit then.
Not feeling overly sad as I've made this decision for all the right reasons I'm just a bit nervous about the next stage tomorrow. Anyone out there for a bit of a chat/hand hold?
Pretty prepared for what's to come next it's just a bit daunting especially as I have a big weekend coming up (collecting my new horse).

Ah bless you thinking of you ... hope your ok at the moment ... have a hot water bottle ready and some pain killers x x

LittleMermaid1 · 01/08/2019 15:35

Hopefully the heavy part will be over quickly for you OP. I started bleeding a couple of hours after the tablets and the pregnancy tissue was about six hours after, I know it varies from person to person though. I had paracetamol but the pain was ok, particularly after the first 24 hours I just took it as and when needed.

Thanks ladies, still nothing happened yet but I feel alot less nauseous for the first time in ages, could just be the codeine I took preemptively?!

Not sure ... but either way that bit is a bonus x

Newmumma83 · 01/08/2019 16:43

Are you all ok in yourself? As a big thing you are going through x

Sausageroll12 · 01/08/2019 17:25

Yes I'm fine, I'm not a very emotional person generally. I have felt sad but I haven't felt attached to the pregnancy at all tbh.

That’s good to hear x

morewinedarling · 01/08/2019 19:10

I hope that you are ok. I had mine yesterday and whilst manageable with pain killers, it wasn't pleasant. I'm still bleeding but what shocked me the most were my emotions as I thought I had totally disconnected myself from the pregnancy. Look after yourself x

Sausageroll12 · 01/08/2019 19:37

I think I'm over the worst now, massive relief but you're right morewine it was a big shock. I'd read a few stories on here but it wasn't quite what I expected. It's not something I'd like to do again. Are you feeling ok today? Big hugs x

I haven't quite brought myself to flush the loo yet, not really sure what to do?

I'm feeling pretty bruised emotionally as I know it was completely the right thing to do, but the guilt I feel is horrendous. It took ages for me to flush too and I sobbed, but I felt relief once I had done it. I'm still cramping mildly today and bleeding, but nothing more than a period. Luckily I'm off work all week so have managed to rest which I've really needed.

Caaarrrl · 01/08/2019 20:03

Sausage and morewine.

Neither of you need to feel guilty. Terminating was the right decision for you both. Don't be too hard on yourselves.

Take care

morewinedarling · 01/08/2019 20:20

Thanks Caaarrl. I think the hormones flying about everywhere have got to me!

Sausageroll12 · 01/08/2019 20:27

Thank you both, dp flushed for me as I found it too hard I feel guilty but a lot better now, I'm still back on the toilet every 20 minutes or so and it's still very unpleasant. I'm glad you're ok morewine, I also have this week off work. Can't tell you how comforting you have all been x

It's good to know you aren't alone sausage. Hope your evening is ok and you get a good nights sleep x

Newmumma83 · 02/08/2019 07:32

Ah ladies so glad the worst bit is over .

You have valid reasons for your choice so don’t feel guilty, just grateful that we live in a time with choice.

if you want children you can have them when your ready .... it’s a huge responsibility and not one to be taken lightly your both very brave to make the harder choice ... it’s much easier to go ahead with a pregnancy 🤰🏻 than it is to say no it not right and decide against it ❤️

MollyHuaCha · 02/08/2019 07:38

Take care Thanks

Bloodycats · 02/08/2019 17:34

How are you doing op?

morewinedarling · 02/08/2019 20:38

Hope you're ok today x

Sausageroll12 · 02/08/2019 22:21

I'm good thank you, not much to report really the same sort of bleeding as a period. Nothing like the clots of yesterday which were frankly awful!
