How long does it take for a pregnancy test to come up as positive??

I've took a bunch of test and they all come back as negative. For the past week in a half I've been feeling nauseous. How long could it take for a test to come up as positive

Two weeks after that

4 weeks ago is the last time I had sex. And a week late on my period

What kind of test's are you using?

When was the last time you tested?

With DS2 I thought I was pregnant at what I initially thought was nearly 5 weeks, and later turned out to be 3 weeks - initial test was negative but a week later was positive. Still not sure how I thought I was so early (I was, but only just!). So I know it's difficult to wait, whatever your feelings about possible pregnancy.
