By the time I have the procedure I'll be 14+4 and I'm terrified. I'm so scared the procedure will go wrong as I've heard it's safest before 12 weeks.

I'm just so scared of something going wrong Sad

Remember that many, many women undergo the procedure every year (with many if those at least as far along as you are) and that it is generally safe and uncomplicated. While the risk might be slightly higher after 12 weeks, it is still fairly small.

I'm sure you will be absolutely fine. All the best OP, please don't worry.

Thinking about you pp, I'm sorry Flowers
I don't know anything about the actual risk but as double says I suspect the risk before twelve weeks is small and the risk after 12 weeks is higher but still small iyswim. If you are particularly worried is there anyone knowledgeable you can ask?

Actually they should be making sure any risks are discussed with you before surgery and you should ask questions then

I had abortion at 13 +6 under general anesthetic, it went completely fine, no problems after at all. You get wheeled in and have the injection in your hand and the next thing you're in recovery Flowers
