Date of conception was "confirmed" I'm still terrified!

I posted a while back under "please someone help me" because I was scared my baby was not my husbands. I had my scan and they put my DOC at 1st September. I slept with my friend on the 7th which leaves only a weeks gap :-( I was expecting an hoping DOC would be more August time. I took the clear blue digital test on the 14th of September (exactly 1 week after sleeping with my friend) and it came up that I was 2/3 weeks pregnant. I was honest with midwife about my situation and she was almost certain it is my husbands ..... But after some research im still sadly not convinced. With only a weeks gap ... Maybe it is my friends.... I'm so scared xxx

The blurb says the it tells you how many weeks SINCE you conceived
Your test would confirm that you conceived 2 to 3 weeks before 14 September so that would have to be your husbands I would have thought? Hope this helps

Thanks for replying. I'm still really scared as I've read so many stories of these being wrong. I hope mines is spot on. Knowing my luck it won't be xx

I think that as both the scan date and the preg test give the same result, I would be thinking you could not have concieved after 7 Sept as egg has to travel to the womb to implant and that can take days and then a positive test on the 14th would be highly unlikely as I believe its not until after implantation that the hormones start to get into your system. xx

So you took the test 7 days after sleeping with your friend and it said you were 2-3 weeks pregnant? It must be your husband's. Your period must have been due around the time you slept with your friend.

The clear blue tests are pretty accurate and from my experience the early scan dates have been exact.

I would think date of conception is when the sperm and egg meet, so it could be that you had sex several days before that - sperm survives for a bit and waits for the egg. So it will be from sex before the date you've been given.

And did you use contraception with your friend? That would cut the chance.
