Nausea within days of conception ?

Hello

DP and I have been TTC since a miscarriage at 5+3 last month. The very most I could be today is 10 days pregnant - but boy do I feel sick.

Has anyone else had nausea this early on?

I've heard of people having sore boobs etc quite soon after conception but then I've read other things that say early symptoms are all in the imagination. But the feeling is so distinctive I know I am not imagining it

At the moment I feel as sick as I did at the point the mc happened last time. Does that mean the hormone is 'stronger' this time.

I can't decide how to feel about it - I'm happy/nervous/disbelieving. I wonder if my body is playing tricks on me or if there is some HCG left in my system from the previous pregnancy?

I know any test I take now will be negative but I just wondered if anyone else had had strong nausea only days after conception?

Thanks - sorry to ramble on!

I did - I felt nauseous pretty much from the day of conception onwards. It didn't get all that much worse, you might be pleased to note - I felt sick for weeks but never actually threw up, and it was bearable.

10 days post-conception should be early enough for a First Response or similar test - I think you should test! Go on go on... let us know how you get on!

Good luck!

Hi, Sloathy, am currently 8+3 weeks into 3rd pregnancy. Have felt really sick from about 2 weeks after conception! I don't test until I am 1 week late! but thanks to dh strange working hours know actual date of conception this time - tmi? Hate to break it to you but has got worse although very reassuring

Now you mention it I was very sick a couple of days after I must have conceived and I've only just realised it!

Thanks ladies

I did a test yesterday and it was negative, but then I didn't get a + test until the day AF was due last time...its very tempting though and I do have a FR test lurking in my handbag....

I was feeling really sick in waves 5 days before AF due and didn't get a positive test till AF day and that was with an early test kit

Yes I felt sick after conception, so much so that I actually googled it to see whether it was possible or whether I was ill!! good luck!

PositiveAttitude · 07/07/2010 20:54

I have been pregnant 9 times and every time, but 1, I was sick within 24 hours of conception (and carried on being sick every single day until I either miscarried, had CS, or half an hour before going into labour!!!)

Good luck!!

Yup, I started feeling sick about 9 days before my period was due - thought it was just me being subnormal - but clearly other people get it too ;) I also got really really tired, dizzy, headaches and moody in the week before due.And tbh it still hasn't got any better - if anything, much worse! But then I'm still only 7w.

But being that you had a mc so recently, I'm not sure if perhaps it could be your hormones just trying to get back to normal, as it does all take time and I got lots of oddities after my mc. But fingers crossed for you, and hope the wait until AF due goes quickly for you (arghh - the 2 week wait was a killer for me!!)

Ibizadreams · 08/07/2010 09:24

Yes, I got travel sick on a train after 7 days.

DomesticG0ddess · 08/07/2010 09:34

Yes I had some waves of nausea before a I got a bfp. Good luck!

addie81 · 08/07/2010 10:02

I was feeling sick by the time I got a BFP (day before AF due).

Hi there, believe it or not I started throwing up (sorry if TMI) the next day after conception and my nausea still hits me from time to time (wk 19)..... I was so surprised and thought for weeks that I have stomach bug as everyone was saying that MS can't start that early but nope it was MS! Just hoping that your MS is not as bad as mine altogether. I got motion sickness bands from boots (in travel section), which helped me a lot. There are two versions, one with plasticy material which you should avoid as they are super uncomfy and one with soft fabrik which is fab... good luck
