Anyone used the Out'n'about nipper 3 wheeler with a new born?

I am cautiously entering the world of pram buying for the first time. Our current thoughts are on the above pram. I know people have very strong opinions on prams, so I will ask a fairly narrow question!

Has anyone used it with a newborn? Were you happy with the comfort and security for your little one? What insert, if any, did you use to make it snug?

I have not used this one but have just looked at it through google and it looks quite similar to the M&P one I had and older verison of this and used it with my son from newborn. I had a lot of negative comments but it lay flat and I didn't want to buy more than one pushchair and I don't like travel systems. Plus I live next to the forest and walk their regularly with my dog so it was perfect. It came with a cosy toes which I used when the weather was colder but otherwise just as it was. I'm still using it and my son is 3 in 2 weeks and am planning to use it with this one too.

I have bought one for my baby due in 3 weeks. Have bought newborn insert but also a P&T cocoon which I will use instead to begin with. The cocoon fits well. Had bugaboo frog for dd1 but wanted one piece fold for this one. Also have bought a lambskin liner for when it goes into seat without cocoon. HTH

running we have an old version of the out'n'about nipper. My newborn is in it and I am very happy with it. It lies almost totaly flat and is a dream to push as it's so light and also really light to carry when folded... what more could you ask for in a pram????

FWIW I have had other prams with my older kids with carry cots etc and tbh wish I had had this nipper with them too!

Also tried my 4 year old in it to see how it would suit an older child and he can sit comfortably in it so am confident will last a long time!

yep, we had it right from newborn with DD, we used the newborn headhugger insert, it seemed to work fine and she was perfectly happy in it.

It's a fab pushchair, I really preferred it to all the gimmicky, fiddly pushchairs lots of friends seemed to have. It's very simple and straightforward and it's brilliant if you do a lot of walking, it's great in mud, on the beach, and in the snow. I was gutted we had to sell it to make way for a Phil n Teds now that no.2 is nearly here.

Thank you so much ladies for all of your replies. We have good friends who bought it when their DS was 6 weeks old as they didn't like their travel system. They are quite similar to us in terms of lifestyle, do lots of walking and live in central london.

I like how easy it is to push, how simple it is, how versatile it is, how light it is and the reasonable price tag. My only concern was whether our newborn would be comfy enough and sounds like he/she will be. It's a shame the child can't face you but I think if you make a point to interact with your child, it isn't the end of the world.

I had the double for newborn twins (who were teeny tiny at birth) and they loved it, seemed really cosy. We didn't use any special insert but bought the cosy-toes to go with it. No problems sleeping at all, as it does lay flat.
